Shipping heavy machinery involves a variety of factors that influence cost. Here’s what matters—and how we make it efficient:

Key Cost Drivers

  • Size & Weight: The equipment’s dimensions (length, width, height) and weight significantly affect the price—larger, heavier, or oversized loads require special handling and resources.
  • Type of Equipment: Different machines come with unique transport needs. For example, cranes often need to be disassembled and may cost ~22% more than a bulldozer per mile.
  • Distance: Rates typically decline per mile for longer trips. For instance:
    • 0–200 miles: ~$4–5/mile
    • 500–1,000 miles: ~$3–3.50/mile
    • 2,500+ miles: $1–1.50/mile
